After we then took our silly group photos and were given 30% off discount vouchers to any full price item at typo. We then had a one on one interview with the managers, the interview takes 1-3 minutes depending on how you answer the question. The last activity was a game of jenga, we had to pair up with the person next to us and one person has to tell their partner where to put the blocks in order to match it to the picture using verbal communication, after that we had to do the same thing but blindfolded. After the next activity was a memory card game where you have to remember 15 typo items and present them.

We were asked to write our name on the back of the sheets and colour them for the silly group photo at the end The first activity was a what would you do situation question and we each took turns answering the question in pairs, the challenge was to say something unique and stand. We were first given availability sheets and were ask photo id, we were then register and got placed in to groups. I Arrived early and after I arrived 20+ people showed up which were all FEMALES. The interview was held at Phoenix park community centre at Malvern east. I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cotton On (Malvern East) in Oct 2017 InterviewĪpplied online and within a couple days I received an email saying I was successful and that they had wanted me to attention the interview. I just thought I'd mention this if anyone thought this was interesting, but I was one of only 2 guys out of 25 people that interviewed in that time slot.

As we were leaving, we each received a 30% discount code. Once everyone was finished, we took a group photo where he each held up our names that we wrote earlier. We had an opportunity at the end to ask questions. It was really chill and was more of a casual talk. We then moved on to the one-on-one interview.Įach of us got called up by a manager and then they asked us pretty basic questions. Out of the 8 people, there were (one 15, two 14, one 13, two 12, two 11). At the end, the manager read out the items again to see how many we got. We then each got a deck and had around 2 minutes to find those 15 items. The manager at the table then read out 15 random items that we had to find in the deck. There was a deck of cards, each of which had a typo product on it. The third and final activity was a memory based game. After this, we moved onto the final table of activities. There was someone walking around the table during this checking on our progress. But this time, the builder had to close their eyes and we had around 4 minutes to build another tower. The builder could not talk or see the picture. The instructor had a picture and had to instruct the builder to build the jenga tower as in the picture. One of us had to be an instructor and the other was the builder. We had to pair up once again and were told there would be two rounds. The second activity involved Jenga blocks. After this, we moved on to another table. Each pair then answered the question, and while we answered this, another manager was listening to us and took notes. They said it would be good to come up with a "creative answer", as it did get quite repetitive. We had to pair up and were given 2 minutes to answer the scenario (See Interview Question 1). The different store managers introduced themselves and we then moved onto doing our activities. Each of us was then allocated to one of 3 tables, which had a different activity.

There were about 25 people at the interview and we were each given an availability sheet to fill in our times and location preferences. I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cotton On (Melbourne) in Oct 2017 Interview
